Happy Anniversary!

Today is the 58th Anniversary of my Grandpa and Grandma! (I think it's 58...) So first off, I want to wish them a Happy Anniversary! You 2 have been such a shining example of a successful marriage. You really do show love and respect in every way and we are so grateful for being able to be a part of your family! Thank you for all the ways you show your support to us! B&I have lots of great memories of times spent with you both! We wish we had a picture for every memory, but here are a few favorites. We love you Grandpa and Grandma!!

Over the Hill

Even though she isn't "ours" anymore, we still want to post a couple pictures of Daisy since it's her birthday today! She turns 6, which supposedly is the equivalent of 40! Even being over the hill, she's still as cute as a button, just like the day we 1st brought her home. She's now living with my parents and seems to be enjoying her new home! We saw her last weekend and it was great to see her! Here are a few pictures of little Miss Daisy. Enjoy!

10/10/10

Happy October 10th, 2010...otherwise known as 10/10/10! :) To commemorate this date in history, I shall now list off our top 10 reasons for enjoying living life in Minnetonka.
10. Close to Ridgedale Mall, which is an easy landmark to give friends and family
9. Some of the houses around here are really neat to look at, very architecturally interesting.
8. The drive going east on 394 gives a fantastic view of the Minneapolis skyline! This picture was actually taken from my phone when we weren't on the west edge of the skyline, but it's pretty from any direction!! 7. There's 1 of everything close to our place: grocery stores, Target, library, clinic...Wendy's (for the Frosties...ha!)
6. Lots of parks and biking/walking trails very close-by
5. Geese in the pond and clutsy squirrels in the yards in our apartment complex area. Here's the geese and pond!
4. The drive to my work takes me through beautiful fall colors and picturesque scenes
3. Our apartment is close to major highways, without feeling like it!
2. There's always something to do in this area, outdoors or indoors. Here's a picture from us going to the Sculpture Garden
1. Living on the western side of the suburbs, thereby being 1 step closer to family in both Annandale and Willmar!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday! Watch for additional posts to come! :)

We're Back!

After a long break from the blog, I've decided it's time to start posting again! We have lots of pictures from fun times to share and what better place to share them!! This 1st post is pretty simple -- just a picture from one afternoon when we went to Lake Calhoun for a walk around the lake. Beautiful day! Keep checking back for more posts in the future!

Nature's Beauty

The last few days here in Fargo, we have had fog. Typically that wouldn't matter much to me, but this time of year, it has a beautiful result. The trees are frosted and makes the landscape here look like a winter painting. And when the rare opportunity is presented to call Fargo beautiful, I'll take it. :) Ha! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Christmas #2

Christmas #2! We went to Annandale for Christmas weekend and instead of the roads being bad getting to B's family (like last year) the roads were bad THIS year getting to MY family! Argh! That's what we get for living in the upper Midwest, I suppose. :) It's worth it!

Anyway, B & I set out on December 23rd to try to beat the snowstorm that was going through the region. My sister (Carrie) and her family braved the roads on the 24th and luckily, we all arrived safely at Mom and Dad's...eventually. :) Here's a picture of B & me with Dad at church on Christmas Eve.

You'd never guess it, but my Mom is one fantastic Wii bowler! Mom and Dad don't own a Wii, so she can't be practicing up without us knowing...but somehow, she ended up with an amazingly high score of 217!! We had to take a picture of the moment. For only playing a few times a year, how does she do it?? Great job Mom! Yay!

One of the toys that our nephew (Christopher) got for Christmas was a rollercoaster-type ride with a little car that he would ride down this ramp. Mom and Dad's cat (Annie) found it more exciting to simply sit her rather plump self directly in the middle of the ramp. :) Silly girl!
Here's a picture of B & me on Christmas Eve

Here's us with Christopher! Funny story about the sweater he's wearing...we gave that to him literally years ago (2006) for his first Christmas. I knew the sweater looked huge, but it was sized 6-9 months, which was his age that Christmas! I must admit it was a bargain, so I couldn't pass it up, even if the sweater was gigantic on him at the time. Turns out it finally fit him...when he's over 2 1/2 years old! :)

Here's a picture of the little worker bee, Christopher. Almost as quickly as we had opened our gifts, he would be collecting the wrapping paper and putting it in the garbage can! He has a history of doing this, too...last summer I think. But it's still so funny each time he does it. :)

There are lots more pictures from Christmas celebrating, so be watching for more to be posted soon!

Christmas # 1

A few weeks ago, we drove to St. Cloud to have our 1st of 3 Christmas celebrations with B's family. They're a pretty big crew, so we typically hold the get-together at a hotel, which works well. The St. Cloud hotel had a few pools and a kiddy pool for the young kids in the family. We had a great time and the roads were way better this year than last year! Last year, it was snowing a lot!! So we were thankful that everyone got there and back home safely! Enjoy the pictures!

Here's the whole crew...including little Cayden in the Santa hat and Cylee in her Christmas dress. How cute! Oh and can you find Bill...?? :)

Mommy kissing Santa Claus :)

Cylee smiling. I tried to get a good one of her with her full smile, but this was pretty close. She's such a sweetheart!

Happy New Year!

I don't typically make New Year's resolutions, but this year I made a few. One of them was to actually post more stuff on this blog of mine that I started. That's what it's for! So I'm trying to start out the year on a good foot, posting on the 2nd day of the year. We have a ton of pictures from Christmas, so I'll get to posting those. But for today, the only quick picture that's available is (not suprisingly) of Daisy! Daisy and B&I wish all of you a Happy New Year and hope this year brings you all many blessings and wonderful memories!

Here she is, trying to "help" with the wrapping of Christmas presents. She is notorious for sprawling herself out across whatever it is that we are trying to use at that moment. Crazy cat.
